We interrupt our normally schedule Horrible for this timely update. We went to see Ponyo this past weekend. The movie was enjoyable if you're prepared for a slow cute story. The art is a stylized rendition of the children's book drawings. At first it's a bit jarring, but quickly it becomes charming. A few hours after watching, I realized there was no bad guy. Doolies thinks the ocean or nature was the bad guy. I don't buy it. It's a story without a true villain.

It's another warm sunny day in Seattle. The evenings are becoming cooler and the sun is rising later. I know fall is right around the corner. I hope it holds out a bit longer.
